Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan Announce Creation of 'Turkish Automotive Industry'
This week, a conglomerate of automotive manufacturers from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan was announced, named the 'Turkish Automotive Industry,' reported the 'Russian Automobile' portal.
"The focus is on the assembly of 'UzAvto' cars in the territories of the two neighboring countries at the 'Azermash' and 'SaryarkaAvtoProm' factories," the publication states.
At the same time, the portal notes that this is not a new development, as Uzbek Chevrolet cars have long been assembled in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
"New models that could be termed pan-Turkic are also not expected. Uzbekistan plans to assemble BYD vehicles, but Chinese cars cannot be called Turkic," the portal writes.
However, according to the initiators, the Turkish automotive industry will provide a new impetus for the development of the automotive industry on the Eurasian continent and will unify markets with more than 65 million inhabitants.
