Fog and Black Ice on the Roads: Situation in the Republic

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed roads within the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

The roads from the “Amberd” high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari in the Aragatsotn Province are closed. In the provinces of Syunik and Lori, there are patches of black ice on the roads. Snow is falling in the Dilijan bends.

In the Armavir Province, in the section known as Saravan-Zanger, in the Dilijan bends, and in the elevated areas of Syunik, as well as in the regions of Ashtarak and Talin, there is fog.

According to the information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Emergency Situations Department of the Russian Federation’s North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the Stepanavsmininda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
