Zelensky Appeals to Georgians and the Georgian Government Regarding Saakashvili
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on the Georgian authorities to show compassion and transfer former president Mikheil Saakashvili to any country in Europe, the US, or Ukraine. This was reported by "Novosti-Gruziya" on their telegram channel.
“I want to appeal to our friends and thoughtful people in Georgia. Everyone has seen the condition of Mikheil Saakashvili, his health situation. I am addressing the Georgian nation and the Georgian government: show mercy, especially at this difficult time. What is happening with Saakashvili is evil. This does not help Georgia. It must stop. Please make a decision that can save his life. I ask you to transfer Saakashvili even to Ukraine, any country in Europe, America. Right now is the time to do something good,” said the head of the Ukrainian state.
