Iran's Foreign Ministry on the Closure of the Lachin Corridor

The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanani, expressed hope that the issue of the blockade of the Lachin Corridor will be resolved through dialogue and peaceful means between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Kanani made these remarks in response to a question from the ISNA news agency.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has always emphasized that the full implementation of the provisions of the trilateral statement on the cessation of hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan can put an end to the disagreements between the two countries,” Kanani highlighted.

Stating that establishing peace and stability in the region requires preventing any unwarranted tensions, Kanani expressed hope that the issue of unblocking the Lachin Corridor will be resolved through dialogue and peaceful negotiations between the parties.
