Individuals Arrested for Shooting at Stray Dogs from a Vehicle: Details

On December 19, at 23:55, the patrol officers of the second battalion of the Shirak region received information while on duty that some people were driving an 'Opel' around Maralik city and shooting at stray dogs.

The police report states that during their service, the patrol officers discovered a dead dog on Shahinyan Street in Maralik. Around 22:30, they spotted and stopped the aforementioned 'Opel' at the intersection of Dzerzhinsky and Madatyan streets, where three men were present.

In plain sight inside the vehicle was a hunting rifle. One of the men claimed ownership of the weapon and stated that he had the right to carry and possess it. Furthermore, he admitted to shooting the dog himself.

The men were arrested and taken to the Ani police department. The relevant documents were sent to the investigative department of Shirak region's Artik and Ani investigative units.
