British Company Demands Restoration of Its Rights to Exploit Artsakh's Mines

The British mining company Anglo Asian Mining PLC, operating in Azerbaijan, has sent a letter to various international organizations and government representatives, including the UN, the US State Department, the UK Foreign Office, and the European Union, declaring its rights regarding the mining sites currently exploited by others. This was reported by Azerbaijani media.

The company is seeking support to restore its 'legal rights' and ensure the safe access of its employees to the Drombony and Kashen mines in Artsakh and surrounding areas.

The company notes that the mining sites are under the responsibility of Russian peacekeeping forces; however, according to Anglo Asian Mining PLC, illegal extractions are being carried out and continue in those areas by Armenian companies.

It is reminded that earlier we reported that the Azerbaijani government signed a deal with the British company Anglo Asian Mining and handed over the rights to several mines, including the Kashen mine, to the company for $3 billion under a concession agreement.
