Artsakh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Releases Statement
As of December 12, Azerbaijan has closed the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the outside world, unlawfully blockading the region and artificially creating severe humanitarian conditions for its 120,000 residents.
The blockade has resulted in the violation of fundamental rights of the people of Artsakh. Individuals are deprived of their right to free movement, access to adequate medical care, and the supply of essential goods.
This situation is a logical continuation of the anti-Armenian policies pursued by Azerbaijan for years.
Since the day of the blockade, the Artsakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent numerous letters and appeals to various countries and international organizations, providing credible information regarding the situation and requesting appropriate support for the unblocking of Artsakh.
Azerbaijan's policy poses a challenge to the entire civilized world and must receive a robust response without hesitation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh once again appeals to the international community to employ adequate mechanisms for the unblocking of Artsakh.
