I See Deep Indifference in Armenian Society Regarding the Artsakh Issue: Beglaryan's Press Conference

Artsakh’s State Minister's advisor, former State Minister Artak Beglaryan, as is known, has started a sit-in in front of the UN office. His press conference has now commenced.

“The blockade and the cessation of gas supplies is a very clear manifestation of Azerbaijan's genocidal policies. This has its assessment under international law. This is terrorism against an entire people. By the way, we are not only talking about psychological terrorism; from the perspective of vital rights and interests, we can qualify this as terrorism. This is leading to the destruction and ethnic cleansing of the Armenian population in Artsakh. The UN must and is obligated to respond very quickly; otherwise, it may be too late, and they will not have fulfilled their obligations,” said Artak Beglaryan.

“The UN must respond; otherwise, the population of Artsakh will have to use all the tools at their disposal to fully protect their rights. The second address of my sit-in is to the Armenian society. Because I see deep indifference in Armenian society, a sense of helplessness, and sometimes I can even say a devaluation of Artsakh. I see the problem of not recognizing the value of Artsakh. Artsakh holds unique value and significance for the Armenian people. Both in terms of identity and security, yes, Artsakh genuinely holds exceptional significance for the Armenian people. Monti’s famous words, that if we lose Artsakh, we will turn the last page of Armenian history, are also relevant for these days,” he added.
