Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Statement on the Lachin Corridor
“The Azerbaijani side is ready to meet the humanitarian needs of the Armenian residents living in our territories.” This statement was made by Ayhan Hacizade, head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, according to Azerbaijani media.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijanis have been blocking the Lachin Corridor for 48 hours. So-called “environmentalists” have demanded a meeting with Volkov. It is reported that their action is against the illegal exploitation of mines. It is a fact that in such a dictatorial country as Azerbaijan, it is impossible to organize such actions without the sponsorship of the authorities, and this is yet another provocation from Baku.
A humanitarian crisis is maturing in Artsakh. People cannot travel from Armenia to Artsakh and vice versa. It has become impossible to transfer patients from Artsakh hospitals to hospitals in Armenia for emergency medical assistance.
