Azerbaijani ‘Azerigas’ Statement on Gas Outages in Artsakh
“Azerbaijan is not involved in the gas outages in the territories of Nagorno-Karabakh where the Russian peacekeeping forces are temporarily deployed.” This statement was released by the Azerbaijani company ‘Azerigas’.
It is worth noting that it was reported yesterday that Azerbaijan has halted gas supplies to Artsakh. “Gas is cut off, there is no gas,” said an employee from Artsakhgaz in an interview with Auroranews.am, confirming that there is no gas in Stepanakert.
The Artsakh information headquarters reported yesterday that Azerbaijan has ceased gas supplies to Artsakh, emphasizing that “in such weather conditions, the cessation of blue fuel supply constitutes humanitarian and economic terrorism systematically carried out by Azerbaijan against the peaceful residents of Artsakh.”
As of the morning of December 12, the only road connecting Armenia and Artsakh has also been closed. Azerbaijani individuals have blocked the corridor in the Shushi area, referring to themselves as independent environmentalists, and have set up tents right in the middle of the road. The road is also closed for ambulances.
