Azerbaijan is not interested in the mines, they want to subjugate the people of Artsakh. Sargsyan
Azerbaijan has the desire to subjugate Artsakh and its people, but I am confident that they will not succeed. This was stated by the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, during a rally concerning the blockade of the Lachin corridor.
“Throughout history, there have been many instances where the people of Artsakh have demonstrated exceptional will to withstand difficulties and disasters. They will resist this time as well, but the question is at what cost; everything depends on the leadership of Artsakh and how they will manage to organize a path for these people to overcome their hardships,” said Serzh Sargsyan.
In response to the remark that the Armenian authorities are directing their accusations towards the Russian peacekeepers, Sargsyan replied, “No one can fight on our behalf, nor can anyone solve complicated problems for us. Yes, we have allies and friends, but they can only fulfill their contractual obligations if we do our part. If we don’t act, why should anyone else come and solve our issues for us? No matter how much they are our allies, they cannot do everything for us.”
Sargsyan also declared that the ruling authorities of Armenia cannot decide the fate of Artsakh. “They cannot determine what will happen. It is clear that they have simply washed their hands of Artsakh. They have refused to defend the natural rights of these people. The issue will be resolved in the same way it was resolved 30 years ago. We will reach that point,” he stated.
