State Oversight Service Inspects All Institutions and Vehicles
The daily newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that the Republic of Armenia’s State Oversight Service is currently inspecting all state institutions and vehicles assigned to officials. The reason for this scrutiny is the service's suspicion that the catalytic converters of officials' vehicles may have been stolen and sold for profit.
On November 28 of this year, the State Oversight Service officially announced that during the implementation of its oversight functions, it received information suggesting that there were issues related to the exportation of used catalytic converters containing precious metals from vehicles in Armenia, as well as problems in the trading of these materials.
According to the State Oversight Service, violations have been identified that contain elements of a crime, and reports summarizing these findings have been submitted to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia for further proceedings.
