Artsakh is Not Alone: Tsarukyan's Statement

BHK president Gagik Tsarukyan has issued a statement regarding the situation in Artsakh, which reads:

“For almost a day now, Azerbaijani forces have blocked the only road connecting Armenia and Artsakh, the Stepanakert-Goris road, under false environmental pretenses. Our compatriots in Artsakh are practically under blockade, deprived of their right to free movement and facing the threat of a food crisis. The situation surrounding the Lachin corridor is an unprecedented humanitarian disaster.

Azerbaijan is violating its international commitments, sending yet another clear signal to the world that it continues to pursue anti-Armenian, genocidal policies.

Since yesterday, I have been in constant contact with the leadership of Artsakh, expressing my readiness to provide any necessary support. I emphasize the mission of the Russian peacekeeping forces in ensuring a peaceful and secure life in Artsakh, and I am confident that this issue will also find a resolution.

Finally, I call on our compatriots in Artsakh: Artsakh is not alone! Through the entire Armenian nation, our allies, and the civilized world, we will be able to secure the right of Armenians in Artsakh to live safely in their own land. God protect the heroic people of Armenia and Artsakh.”
