Spayka and its affiliated organizations have returned approximately 8.5 billion AMD to the state budget: State Revenue Committee

Spayka and its affiliated organizations have returned approximately 8.5 billion AMD to the state budget. This was reported by the State Revenue Committee of Armenia.

According to the statement, the general director of Spayka LLC, through the company "Greenproduct," which he also manages, imported various food products into Armenia from different countries, including Poland, Belgium, and Greece, during the period of 2015-2018.

However, by distorting the data regarding the acquired goods and submitting false information to the Armenian customs authorities, the imported food products were declared as ammonium nitrate (saltpeter) in order to evade substantial taxes.

Later, irrefutable evidence supporting these described criminal actions was acquired. The final amount of unpaid tax obligations to the state has been calculated and clarified.

The general director of Spayka has been charged, acknowledged his guilt, and expressed willingness to assist in the investigation and pay the assessed additional tax obligations to the state budget.

Additional final tax obligations of approximately 5.5 billion AMD have been calculated, the majority of which were returned to the state budget in November 2022, while the remaining amount is to be paid by the company according to the established schedule.
