Azerbaijanis Trapped in a Blockade According to 'Hraparak'

Azerbaijani 'environmental activists' have today stormed the checkpoint in Shushi, entering an area controlled by Russian peacekeepers, and have closed the only vital road connecting Artsakh with Armenia.

According to 'Hraparak', in response to the actions of Azerbaijani provocateurs, Russian peacekeeping forces have blocked the road from both directions. They are currently unable to travel from Shushi to Agavn and Berdzor, or to return from those areas, as the road is blocked from both sides.

Azerbaijanis are even unable to reach their positions in the occupied territories of that region in Artsakh, while snipers and Azerbaijani troops stationed in the Lachin corridor have effectively found themselves surrounded by Russian peacekeeping forces.

It is worth noting that the Stepanakert-Goris road remains closed at this time, and the Azerbaijani 'environmental activists', which include current and former military personnel, are threatening to go on a hunger strike.
