U.S. Statement on Situation in the Lachin Corridor

During a daily press briefing, U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price responded to a question regarding Washington's monitoring of the situation in the Lachin corridor and President Putin's recent discussions with both Armenian and Azerbaijani sides.

“We are consistently focused on the necessity to stop these two countries from escalating this challenge and to pave the way for stable and comprehensive resolution. We facilitated a meeting at the ministerial level for both countries here in Washington. We did the same in New York during the UN General Assembly. Additionally, our senior advisor Philip Reeker is actively engaged in dialogue with officials from both countries to ensure that we are doing everything we can, and most importantly, that both of these countries are doing everything to reduce that tension,” Ned Price stated, according to Voice of America.
