Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs Issues Statement

The Stepanakert-Shushi interstate road has been closed for 6 hours. By violating international humanitarian law, Azerbaijan is attempting to create a humanitarian disaster in Artsakh.

The Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs Police reports that hundreds of citizens, including minors, have been stranded on the road. Some have returned to Goris, while those waiting for hours in the Stepanakert-Shushi area have been escorted by traffic police to Stepanakert.

It has become impossible to transport medical supplies, medications, and patients with serious health issues into Artsakh. Negotiations are ongoing for the moment.
