Neymar Tears Up After Loss to Croatia, Hints at Career End: Media
Brazilian forward Neymar is struggling to cope with his national team's exit from yet another World Cup, according to Футбол 24.
The star of the ‘Seleção’ scored a goal against Croatia in extra time, but it was not enough to save his team from a 1/4 final defeat. The Brazilians lost in a penalty shootout, and following the final whistle, Neymar could not hold back his tears and made a poignant statement: “I think this is my last World Cup. I feel it is my last because I don’t know if I have the strength to continue playing football,” said the emotional player, as quoted by journalist Ben Jacobs. Neymar will turn 31 in February.
It is worth noting that this was the world’s most expensive football player’s third World Cup, but he has never reached the finals.
