Is the Demolition of the Kiosk on the Square Illegal? 'Hraparak'

‘Hraparak’ newspaper reports: ‘Yesterday morning, the city hall demolished a kiosk adjacent to the National Gallery, where coffee, pastries, ice cream, and juices were sold. The demolition was unexpected; halfway through the work, the kiosk owner, Koryun Hakobyan, and his lawyer arrived on the scene.

The owner was outraged, and a dispute erupted between the police and the owner and lawyer. As the argument escalated, the police commander ordered, ‘Alright, take him in,’ and the kiosk owner was taken into custody.

His representative, Rafik Vardazaryan, told us that the kiosk demolition is illegal and unjustified, as the court had imposed precautionary measures prohibiting any actions, which means the kiosk should not have been demolished.’
