An unknown individual slapped former Albanian President Sali Berisha during an anti-government protest in the capital city of Tirana. The incident was captured on video and circulated in the media and on social networks.

Following the attack, the political leader's security personnel apprehended the assailant and subjected him to physical violence.

Berisha was leading the opposition demonstration against the country's prime minister, who is accused of alleged corruption.
