David Sahakyan Explains Why He Won't Take Parliamentary Mandate
David Sahakyan, a candidate for parliament from the "Hayastan" alliance, has announced that he will not accept the parliamentary mandate. He shared this on his Facebook page.
"After the nationwide disaster of 2020, my desire to join the movement for the salvation of the state and statehood was great, but encountering injustice and witnessing a situation where the same forces, responsible for the disastrous defeat in the war and irreversible losses, continued to rule and lead the country to ruin, I realized that I am incapable of changing anything—even with a parliamentary mandate. Being non-partisan, I participated in the parliamentary elections in 2021 on the opposition 'Hayastan' alliance list, but I now find it inappropriate to operate in parliament under the current circumstances. Therefore, I will continue to serve the state and society in my field.
P.S. Tomorrow I will submit my resignation from the mandate to the CEC.
P.P.S. I believe there is a need for exorcists in the National Assembly rather than cultural figures at this time.
