Citizen Attempts Suicide from Davtashen Bridge; Emergency Service Provides Details

A suicide attempt by a citizen from Davtashen Bridge has been prevented, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

On December 7, at 19:32, the National Crisis Management Center received a report that a citizen was attempting to take their own life by jumping off the Davtashen Bridge. Emergency assistance from rescuers was needed.

A firefighting team from the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a duty psychologist from the Psychological Support Division were dispatched to the scene.

The suicide attempt of a citizen identified as G. P. (born in 1985) was successfully thwarted. Police officers were also present at the location.
