Anna Vardapetyan Meets with Russian Prosecutor General: Key Discussions

The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, is in the capital of the Russian Federation, Moscow, for a three-day working visit from December 7-10, at the invitation of the Russian Prosecutor General, Igor Krasnov. This information has been reported by the Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor General's Office.

Today, on December 7, the Armenian Prosecutor General met with her Russian counterpart to discuss various issues aimed at deepening cooperation between the prosecutor’s offices of the two countries.

Anna Vardapetyan expressed her gratitude to Igor Krasnov for the invitation and warm reception, praising the level of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two nations.

Addressing international legal cooperation, Vardapetyan emphasized that the Russian Prosecutor General's Office continues to be a reliable partner for Armenia in the fight against crime.

Igor Krasnov once again congratulated Anna Vardapetyan on her appointment and highlighted their willingness to enhance collaboration between the law enforcement agencies of both countries in combating corruption, money laundering, misinformation, and cybercrime.

The Prosecutor Generals of Armenia and Russia also discussed other areas of mutual interest, primarily related to legal assistance, cooperation in extradition, and more.

During the meeting, they also addressed the existing cooperation agreements between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries, emphasizing that they serve as a guarantee for the development of relations between the prosecutor's offices. In this context, Anna Vardapetyan and Igor Krasnov signed a cooperation program for 2023-2024 between the prosecutors' offices of Armenia and Russia.

At the end of the meeting, Prosecutor General Vardapetyan invited Igor Krasnov to Yerevan in July 2023 to participate in the celebration dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Prosecutor's Office. For his part, Igor Krasnov invited Anna Vardapetyan to attend the 2023 St. Petersburg Economic Forum.
