Russia Interested in Signing Peace Treaty Between Yerevan and Baku, Lavrov Says
Russia is interested in the signing of a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized during a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart.
During the meeting, Lavrov specifically stated that Russia is keen to support the unblocking of transportation connections in the region, delimitation, the signing of a peace treaty, and overall confidence-building, including among public institutions, political analysts, and legislators.
It is noteworthy that a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov is currently taking place in Moscow. Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the meeting is set to discuss the prospects for bilateral cooperation and exchange thoughts on the most pressing issues of the regional and international agenda, including the resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
