Why Iran has Disbanded the Morality Police

After months of protests, Iran has disbanded the morality police. This information was reported by Al Arabiya, citing the Iranian Attorney General.

Details are currently unclear. Just a few days ago, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, stated that at least 300 people have died as a result of recent unrest.

It should be noted that on September 13, Mahsa Amini was arrested by the morality police in Tehran and sent to one of the centers associated with the police and intelligence forces for a “preventive talk.” According to law enforcement, she suffered a heart attack at that center, after which she was immediately taken to the hospital. Three days later, on September 16, she died.

Residents blame the morality police for Mahsa's death, claiming that she died after being beaten. The death of the young woman triggered mass protests in several major cities across Iran.
