VIDEO: Keys Taken from Several Families Participating in the 'Housing Ceremony' in Gyumri, Zohrabyan Alerts
In Gyumri, keys have been taken from several families who participated in the 'housing ceremony', with claims that these were symbolic keys, and people have been sent back to their temporary homes. This was reported by former MP Naira Zohrabyan on her Facebook page.
She specifically wrote: "Another show to deceive the diaspora. On November 24th, the Armenia Fund, as part of another telethon, staged a teary storyline about how two six-story buildings with 36 apartments were built through the fund’s 'Our Gyumri' program, with donations from the diaspora. Everyone, including the diaspora, saw how, on October 31st, the happy residents of Gyumri, those who had not been included in any housing program in the past 34 years, received keys to their new homes with tears in their eyes and prepared for the housing ceremony. But what happened afterwards is a plot worthy of Fellini.
Several families who participated in the October 31st 'housing ceremony' reached out to me asking not to disclose their names at this time, hoping that they might eventually be given homes. They shared that after filming the video, their keys were taken back, and they were told these were just symbolic keys. They were sent back to their temporary homes with a promise of a call later.
It turns out that no families are currently living in those two buildings. The caretakers of the buildings do not allow the 'owners' of the apartments to enter and photograph their 'homes', claiming that they have been instructed by the Armenia Fund to not let anyone in.
However, one family member who received a 'symbolic key' filmed and shared with me what appears to be a video of two supposedly fully occupied buildings, clearly showing that no apartment has been occupied up to this point.
By the way, after watching the video of the happy Gyumri residents shown during the telethon on November 24, the diaspora donated several more million dollars, and under the 'Our Gyumri' program, two more seven-story buildings are being constructed in Gyumri. For whom, it’s unclear.
Yes, I am not writing this for the authorities of Armenia. I am confident they are well aware of this grand scam. I just want the members of the board of trustees of the Armenia Fund and our compatriots from the diaspora to contact the 'happy' Gyumri residents who received keys in the video and try to assist them.
That’s all for now. Also, please do not create unnecessary theatrics; rush to house a couple of families haphazardly, and stage fake stories for your personal use with your telephones. Although you are so despicable that such a minor trick is nothing for you. Have you pulled such tricks before?
The video shows the supposedly commissioned and 'fully occupied' empty buildings, and I have added the report from the Armenia Fund about the happy Gyumri residents who came, received their keys, but the final shot of the keys being taken back was missing from that idyllic report.
