Aghajanyan Urges CP to Abstain from Voting on Statement Against Azerbaijan's Parliament
“There was a possibility for consensus on numerous points, but unfortunately, there were a few points that were principled for both sides, and thus we recorded that there is no opportunity to present a statement on behalf of the two factions,” said the chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Relations Committee, Edward Aghajanyan, during a committee meeting.
“We had the opportunity for a substantial discussion with our colleagues from the 'Armenia' faction. An agreement was reached between the 'Civil Contract' party and the 'Armenia' faction to discuss the proposed draft in a working manner, considering that the draft needed to come from the National Assembly; it was logical that we should have reached a coordinated version,” Aghajanyan noted.
Regarding the position of the CP on the issue of voting, Edward Aghajanyan called on the members of their faction to abstain from voting on the approval of the draft.
