Fake Accounts to be Blocked on Twitter
The owner of Twitter, American entrepreneur Elon Musk, has announced that the social network has started blocking fake accounts. "Twitter is currently deleting numerous spam and fraudulent accounts, so you may notice a decrease in your follower count," Musk warned on Twitter.
Earlier, the businessman had already stated that fake accounts would be blocked on Twitter. It is noteworthy that at the end of October, entrepreneur Elon Musk finalized the $44 billion acquisition of Twitter. He promised to liberalize the platform's editorial policy, which had been heavily criticized for strict censorship, and to create a content moderation council. Until the council is operational, global decisions regarding editorial policy and the restoration of blocked accounts will not be made.
