Elon Musk Announces Neuralink to Begin Human Trials for Brain Chips
Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of Twitter, Tesla, and SpaceX, has announced that his brain chip company, Neuralink, may soon begin human trials. During a press conference, the entrepreneur specified that the trials are likely to start in about six months, as reported by Life.ru.
According to him, the chip will enable users to operate smartphones and computers without the aid of their hands. Musk claims that the company's specialists will act professionally in this matter. He also noted that all necessary precautions have already been taken previously when the device was implanted in animals.
“We want to be extremely careful and confident that the device will work well before implanting it in a human. Probably in about six months, we will be able to implant Neuralink in a human,” he stated, adding that most of the documentation for approval has already been submitted.
