Kyiv Bridge to Temporarily Close

This evening, the Kyiv Bridge will be temporarily closed. The information was provided by the Yerevan City Hall.

"Due to the work on the New Year’s festive decoration of the capital, the Kyiv Bridge will be closed to traffic from 9:00 PM on November 30 until 7:00 AM on December 1," the announcement stated.

Yerevan Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan, who is coordinating the festive decoration process, mentioned during a routine working meeting on November 21 that the final outcome will justify the expectations of Yerevan residents, and this year the capital will stand out with unique artistic lighting solutions.

It is worth recalling that the "Children’s Eurovision" will take place in Yerevan on December 11 this year. For this reason, it has been decided to begin the city’s festive decoration work ahead of schedule. On December 5 at 7:00 PM, the lights on the Christmas tree placed in Republic Square will be lit, and the opening ceremony for "Children’s Eurovision 2022" will take place.
