Explosion at Religious School in Afghanistan Leaves at Least 35 Dead

At least 35 people were killed and another 23 injured in an explosion at a religious school in the northern Samangan province of Afghanistan on November 30. This was reported by TASS news agency.

According to local media, most of the victims were students of the school. The cause of the explosion remains unclear. The incident occurred in the provincial capital, Aybak, during the noon prayer.

No official comments have been made by representatives of the local administration appointed by the Taliban movement. Earlier, Tolo News reported, citing doctors, that at least 15 people had died, and another 27 were injured as a result of the explosion in Samangan. According to a report from Al Jazeera, referencing a Taliban government official, 23 people were killed and another 30 injured during the explosion.
