Identities of Those Killed in Airplane Crash Revealed

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Hayk Kostanyan, has issued a statement: “Two individuals who died as a result of the airplane crash in Jrarber are citizens of the Russian Federation. The pilots are A. P. (born in 1979) and V. R. (born in 1983).”

It is important to note that today, December 1, at 14:20, the Crisis Management National Center received information that a B55 type aircraft had crashed and caught fire in the territory of Jrarber village in the Kotayk region.

Emergency response teams from two firefighting brigades of the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, three groups of the special rescue operations department, and a duty group from the Medical Support Department were dispatched to the scene.

The Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia has also issued a statement regarding the private aircraft crash. Below is the statement:

“We inform you that on December 1 of this year, at 13:11 local time, communication with a private BeechCraft 95 aircraft flying from Yerevan to Astrakhan was lost. At 14:20 local time, the aircraft was found to have crashed in the territory of Jrarber village in the Kotayk region. Only crew members were aboard the aircraft—two pilots, who were killed. The Civil Aviation Committee is currently gathering preliminary data related to the incident.”
