The Process of Identifying Bodies Has Begun

As previously reported, on November 28, the Armenian side received the bodies of 13 servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia who were killed during the military aggression against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan on September 13-14, 2022. These bodies had remained under the control of Azerbaijan until their return. This was announced by Gor Abrahamyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee.

Taking into account numerous inquiries, I find it necessary to inform that in connection with the fact of the aforementioned aggression, measures are being taken within the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated at the main investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee under the features of Article 140, part 1, point 2, and Article 149, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.

In particular, the process of identifying the bodies has already begun, and forensic medical and genetic examinations have been appointed. Necessary investigative and procedural actions are being carried out.
