OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairman Arrives in Yerevan

OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair from the USA and US representative for Caucasus negotiations, Philip Ricker, will depart from Azerbaijan to Tbilisi, and from there to Yerevan. This was stated by Ricker in his video message.

“The US supports direct dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan and calls for maintaining that momentum in the coming year. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken believes in the possibility of peace and the potential of the South Caucasus. He has asked me to come to the region this week,” Ricker noted.

According to him, the process of achieving peace is not easy, as “the conflict has caused suffering for both sides for years.”

“Nevertheless, there is hope for a peaceful future. I am hopeful that the momentum of these peaceful negotiations will be maintained. I have seen real, bold steps from both countries that can build a strong peace,” he added.
