Pashinyan Chooses the Approach of Conceding through War, Says Levon Zurabyan
Levon Zurabyan, the deputy chairman of the Armenian National Congress, spoke during a broadcast on 24TV regarding the external policy pursued by the current government of Armenia, stating:
“Our esteemed leadership has recently adopted a very interesting approach to diplomatic matters. They say, ‘It was a very effective meeting, very positive. True, no documents were signed, there were no specific results, but there is one important outcome: we preserved our position.’ In diplomacy, it is not important to remain steadfast in your own positions, but to bring others closer to your stance. They do not understand that diplomacy is not just about presenting one's own positions, but also about bringing the opponent closer to your viewpoint.”
According to Zurabyan, there is a serious threat of war, and Armenia must prepare accordingly, as it is not possible to fight against Azerbaijan solely through diplomacy. “Pashinyan chooses the approach of conceding through war, yet he is not preparing for battle,” he noted.
