Snow Falls in Vayk, Sisian, Aragats, and Ashotik

As of 09:45 today, snow is falling in the regions of Vayk, Sisian, Aragats, and Ashotik.

The Road Department reports that all inter-state and republican significance highways are open. Road construction teams are currently engaged in snow clearing and treatment with salt and sand on the roads.

To avoid accidents, incidents, and traffic jams, drivers are advised to use winter tires.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has also reported that there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads within the territory of the Republic of Armenia. In Aragatsotn Province, the road from the Amberd junction to Amberd Fortress is difficult to pass, while the road leading to Kari Lake is closed.

Snow is also falling in the areas of Saravan-Zanger and in the region known as Megrin in Syunik Province.

Regarding the Larsi checkpoint, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open to all types of vehicles.
