Putin: After the Collapse of the USSR, Many Expected a Sweet Life 'Like in Paris'
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, many believed that life would start to be 'like in Paris.'
'... but their cultural code is different – it is completely not our culture,' said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
'After the collapse of the Soviet Union, many of us thought that the sweet life was beginning… we would live like in Paris or somewhere else, although now it turns out that many do not want to live like in Paris. They thought it was good there, but in reality, their cultural code is different,' Putin said during a meeting today with the mothers of participants in the military special operation.
Vladimir Putin also stated that every day he raises questions regarding supply for the troops during meetings with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Additionally, the Russian leader noted that the ministry is trying to provide the army with uniforms as efficiently as possible, taking into account the seasons.
