Adidas Initiates Investigation into Kanye West's Inappropriate Behavior
The German company Adidas has announced it will begin an investigation into the inappropriate behavior of American rapper Kanye West, with whom the brand previously collaborated on the Yeezy clothing line.
This was reported by the Financial Times, citing a statement from the company.
“It is currently unclear whether the allegations outlined in the anonymous letter are true. However, we take these allegations very seriously and have decided to immediately commence an independent investigation into this matter,” the company assured.
It is noted that the company decided to conduct the investigation after one of its major shareholders demanded clarification on the alleged incidents.
Adidas severed its partnership with the rapper on October 25. Later, Forbes journalists calculated that Kanye West lost his billionaire status as a result of the termination of the collaboration with Adidas. According to Cowen investment bank data, the rapper lost his largest contract, which amounted to $1.5 billion (91.9 billion rubles).
