Estonia Prepares for Possible Russian Attack as Authorities Select Bomb Shelters
Estonia is selecting bomb shelters amid fears of a possible Russian attack, according to Bloomberg, citing the country’s Interior Minister Lauri Läänemets.
“Ten years ago, the prevailing opinion was that conventional battles would no longer happen, that there would be no missiles. Just because there is no war today does not mean we should not prepare for the worst,” he stated.
Reportedly, the authorities are examining public buildings, shopping centers, and schools as potential shelters. Since the summer, many buildings have displayed special signs featuring blue triangles on an orange background, indicating the presence of public shelters.
