Turkey's Actions in Syria Pose Danger to US Troops, Pentagon

Turkey's ongoing operations in northern Syria present potential dangers for the US military contingent in the region, according to a representative from the American Central Command.

“We have received additional information regarding the presence of risks for US armed forces in the region,” the agency's interlocutor stated.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that Turkey does not rule out a ground operation in Syria and Iraq following its airstrikes.

The decision to conduct the operation came after a terrorist attack in Istanbul, where six people were killed due to an explosion in one of the central streets.

The Central Command of the US Armed Forces has stated that Washington is opposed to any military operations that could lead to destabilization in Syria.
