Ronaldo Comments on Contract Termination with Manchester United

Portuguese national team forward Cristiano Ronaldo has provided his first comments following the early termination of his contract with Manchester United. This was reported by Gazeta.ru.

“After discussions with Manchester United, we reached a mutual decision to terminate the contract. I love Manchester United and the fans. It seems like it's time for a new challenge. I wish Manchester United all the best,” Ronaldo's words were conveyed by insider Fabrizio Romano on social media.

Manchester United announced the termination of Ronaldo's contract on November 22. The Portuguese player is now a free agent.

It is worth recalling that earlier the 37-year-old footballer publicly criticized the coaching staff, the management, and the policies of Manchester United in an interview with journalist Piers Morgan.

During this season, Ronaldo has played ten matches in the English Premier League, scoring one goal. Despite Manchester United's unsuccessful season, the player has been included in the Portugal national team's roster for the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar.
