Stoltenberg: Currently, Substantive Dialogue with Russia Is Excluded
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has stated that the possibility of dialogue with Russia is excluded under the current circumstances. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“As long as Russia continues to behave as it does, especially towards Ukraine, there will be no opportunity for substantive dialogue,” he expressed the alliance's position during the NATO Parliamentary Assembly meeting taking place in Madrid.
Earlier, Russia sent a note to NATO countries regarding the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov mentioned that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia. The Russian Foreign Ministry has warned that NATO countries are playing with fire by supplying arms to Ukraine. The press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, noted that filling Ukraine with weapons does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative impact.
