School Holiday Dates Announced

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia has established the school holiday dates for the 2022-2023 academic years in the exemplary educational plans for general, specialized, and special state programs.

Winter holidays for first and second graders will be from December 26, 2022, to January 22, 2023, inclusive.

Students from grades 3 to 12 will have their winter holidays from December 26, 2022, to January 8, 2023, inclusive.

According to the educational plan, in case of emergencies (such as adverse weather conditions, the outbreak of contagious diseases, natural disasters, etc.), the Ministry of Education may establish additional holidays by making changes to the schedule of educational classes and established holiday periods for students.

Educational institutions may also adjust the schedule in case of missed hours, ensuring the completion of educational activities before the end of the semester, provided they inform the relevant authority about organizing classes remotely.

It has also been established that the academic classes for the 2022-2023 school year will conclude on May 26, 2023, for a five-day workweek, and on May 27 for a six-day workweek, ensuring at least 30 weeks of instruction for the first grade, 32 weeks for the second grade, and 34 weeks for grades three through twelve.
