Mikhail Saakashvili's Mother Believes Her Son Has Been Poisoned

The mother of former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, Giuli Alasania, has stated that doctors have found traces of mercury poisoning in her son. According to her, the medical conclusion regarding Saakashvili's health condition indicates a high concentration of heavy metals in the former president's body.

“There was mercury. There is also barium and thallium. It is unclear how these substances entered the body; according to the conclusion, they are present and this is poisoning the organism. This provides grounds for the immediate release of Saakashvili,” his mother stated, as quoted by the Mtavari Arxi television channel.

The former president’s lawyer noted that his client has begun to experience atrophy in his left hand.
