Five Individuals Arrested in Bulgaria Suspected of Istanbul Terror Attack
Five individuals have been arrested in Bulgaria, suspected of having links to the terrorist attack that occurred in Istanbul on November 13. This was reported by Alarabiya News on November 19.
Bulgaria has charged the five individuals with aiding one of the suspects in the explosion that took place in central Istanbul last weekend, resulting in six fatalities.
It is noted that three of the detainees are from Moldova, while the fourth is from an Arab country. No details have been disclosed about the fifth suspect, the broadcaster added.
The explosion that rocked Istanbul on November 13 occurred on Istiklal Street. According to the latest information, six people were killed, and an additional 81 were injured, including three citizens from Russia.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The suspect linked to the attack has been arrested. It has been revealed that he is a Syrian national named Ahlam Albashir, who has also confessed to having connections with the Kurdistan Workers' Party, which is banned in Turkey. Concurrently, around 50 other suspects have been detained.
