VIDEO: The Operation Was Pre-Planned, Jalal Harutyunyan Did Not Invent It Himself

The charges against Jalal Harutyunyan consist of two episodes. The first episode relates to the counteroffensive operation carried out on October 7, 2020, while the second episode concerns the loss of soldiers in one of the divisions on October 12 of the same year, which resulted from the enemy's attack. This was stated by Arsen Sardaryan, the defender of the former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Jalal Harutyunyan, during a press conference held recently.

"The charge related to the counteroffensive operation contains several components. One of them is that Jalal Harutyunyan allegedly initiated a counteroffensive operation under the conditions of a supposed force ratio of 1 to 5 in favor of the enemy. It is claimed that under such a ratio, the actions of the attack contradicted our normative legal acts. However, in reality, the counteroffensive operation carried out on October 7 was an action that was anticipated by our relevant documents. Years ago, our military experts had confirmed documents stating that if the enemy advanced in the southern section, our step should have been a counteroffensive. This means that this action was a pre-planned step. When this plan was drafted, naturally, the data were recorded at that time, according to which, under conditions of an enemy ratio of two to four, a counterstrike was to be executed from our side, one of the consequences of which would be to cut off the enemy's support and supplies from behind. Jalal Harutyunyan did not invent this counteroffensive himself. This issue has been raised by people with access to this document, stating that it is time to execute the counteroffensive," he added.
