VIDEO: People Take to the Streets in Thailand Amid Tense Situation
People have taken to the streets in Thailand, holding protests against the backdrop of the Asian-Pacific Technology Conference. This information is reported by the RT agency.
“In downtown Bangkok, protesters are opposing the conference and demanding the resignation of the government,” the statement reads.
According to some reports, law enforcement has used rubber bullets to disperse the protesters. In response, the demonstrators threw bottles at the security forces and launched paper airplanes with slogans.
The police have closed off streets and are preventing protesters from approaching the Democracy Monument. So far, 10 individuals have been arrested.
