Nikol Pashinyan to Lead CSTO Meeting: Agenda Revealed
The CSTO press service reports that a meeting of the Collective Security Council will be held in Yerevan on November 23 under the leadership of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
It is noted that CSTO members will discuss pressing issues of international and regional security.
“One of the most important topics will be the improvement of the CSTO crisis response system and discussions on joint measures to assist the Republic of Armenia. During the meeting, the adoption of the Collective Security Council declaration is also planned. The agenda of the CSTO meeting includes several signing documents related to equipping peacekeeping forces with modern armaments, military and special equipment, and the joint establishment of radiation, chemical, and biological defense,” the CSTO stated.
Additionally, the leaders of the CSTO countries will address the issue of a new Secretary General of the CSTO in relation to the rotation effective from January 1, 2023.
