Aliyev: We Are Ready to Talk to Karabakh Armenians, But Not Vardanian Sent by Moscow
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev stated that it is essential for Armenia to clearly declare what it truly wants. If they want to discuss the rights and security of Armenians in Karabakh, it will not succeed. This statement was made during a meeting with a delegation led by the EU Special Representative for the Eastern Partnership.
We are ready to talk to the Armenians in Karabakh, but not with individuals like Vardanian, who was sent from Moscow (referring to Ruben Vardanian, the state minister of Artsakh), and who has billions of dollars stolen from the Russian people in his pocket. He was sent to Karabakh with a very specific agenda from Moscow.
We are prepared to engage with the people living in Karabakh. By the way, this process has already begun. If not for the interference from certain countries mentioned earlier, attempts to halt this process would not have occurred, and I believe the process could have been more dynamic.
