US Connection in Istanbul Terror Attack: Details
The woman who carried out the terrorist attack in Istanbul is a Syrian national trained by US instructors, according to Yeni Shafak newspaper.
The publication reports that Ahlam al-Bashir left a bag with an explosive device on a bench, resulting in the death of six people. She received the order to carry out the attack from one of the leaders of the Syrian branch of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party).
Following the attack in Istanbul, Turkey's Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu stated that they do not accept condolences from the United States. He asserted that the YPG is the branch of the PKK (the YPG is known as the PKK's extension in Syria), and that the US has supported the YPG in the Syrian conflict, creating discord among NATO allies.
